SELL TO EXPORTER
What is the U.S. governments trick about lowering Dollar’s value?

From what I know:

1-Lower dollar value will help U.S. exporters to sell in more competitive prices overseas and will increase exports
2-Lower dollar value will reduce the national debt
3-When the dollar value is lower, its the best time to pay the foreign debts since you pay less value of the same amount
4-Lower dollar value, will make the energy cheaper since the base currency for calculating oil price is U.S. dollar.

What do you guys think about it?
Thanks

1 is the usual story that I have said myself.

2 by itself doesn’t mean anything. I think you mean to put 2 and 3 together.

3. This is not phrased very well either. Certainly, if are going to pay off the debts with more export money, then OK, but that is usually the case with countries that have much more percent of trade with GDP. Since only 15% of our GDP is exports, the ability to pay off debt is not related much with a lower dollar.

4 – Might be true for a second, but one of the very reasons for the run up of oil prices is the fall of the dollar. That is, oil producers are smart, and will try to compensate for the falling dollar. Of course, they can’t do so completely, at least until they revise the way they price oil.
